Height
Stand tall and poised, barefoot, against a wall. Rest a ruler gently atop your head and mark the spot. Measure from floor to mark—your true height, no heels required.
Bust
With tape measure in hand, encircle the fullest part of your bust. Keep the tape ever-so-slightly raised across your back for an elegant line.
Waist
Find your natural waistline—the narrowest curve. Draw the tape around, back to front.
Hips
Wrap the tape around the fullest part of your hips, generally 7 to 9 inches below the waist, capturing that graceful silhouette.

Arm
From shoulder point to elbow, then with arm bent, continue beneath to the wrist bone. A classic measure for sleeves that fall just so.
Crotch
Seated neatly on a firm chair, measure from waistline to the chair’s surface. A timeless technique for trousers and playsuits alike.
