This is an exceptional 1920's-30's coat that is made of a beautiful black silk velvet and is accented with a large ermine fur at the collar. (This fabric is beyond luxuriously soft and silky. Unlike modern day velvet, before plastics were added)
This particular fabric is a dream to wear with its beautiful drape and ease. It falls to just of the ankles and has a loose and easy cut so can be thrown on over just about anything. Giving you the perfect 1920's-30's silhouette.
The upper portion of the coat has soft rounded shoulders and these curve gracefully into the sleeves. Each sleeve is quite special since they are cut on an angle to give some extra volume. Ruching is adding at the bend in the elbow to add to the dramatic shape
The collar is equally special with a wide soft collar. It has great structure and can stand up around the face.
The inside of the coat has been lined with a pale ivory silky satin. This interior lining is still in 'as is' condition please see condition notes. The coat is wearable but it will be up to you to keep the lining -- not noticeable while wearing.
The closures are two large velvet covered buttons, one at the collar bone and the other at the waist. Both can be moves to adjust the size of the coat since it is a wrap style.
Not only is this a Feline's Coat but also has the rare NRA label signifying that it was made in coordination with the FDR created National Recovery Act. A fascinating piece of fashion history as well as an absolutely gorgeous thing to wear.

Condition: Two Condition Notes, the outside is in excellent condition, the lining is in as is condition. The silk panel has been removed from on side of the back revealing the white felt lining, great condition. The silk is shattering around the edges, please see images and reach out with any questions. Not noticeable while wear. Present beautifully!
