Pattern Description

Make an unforgettable entrance at your next evening occasion with this stunning 1950's Bubble Silhouette Party Dress. This eye-catching bubble hem adds a playful and chic look to the classic style.

By the late '50s, this silhouette had become a popular choice for evening, cocktail and prom wear. In 1958, the New York Times called the bubble skirt "one of the prettiest dance fashions for evening," especially when paired with sheer stockings and evening gloves.  ("Skirting the Issue." New York Times 1 Nov. 1958: 16)
