A stunning cream silk and vibrant red chiffon gown by Jo Copeland. The fabric has falling Pentas flowers that are symbolic of love and protection. The dress is beautifully constructed with a fully boned bodice (front and back). Wired supports for the front silhouette, a waist stay and hanger straps.
Jo Copeland designed her beautifully constructed clothing directly on the figure rather than using toiles. A expert of both cut and detail, she continued her work from the 1940s into the 1960s.
