This sensational 1940s vintage black rayon crepe dress has a pretty sheer illusion with sweetheart bodice and rhinestone collar by Peggy Hunt. Her 1940s dresses are rare to find and I've had this one in my personal collection. Back zipper with hook/eye closure. Two front hip pockets and sheer 3/4 sleeves complete this fabulous dress.
Peggy Hunt was a California-based designer starting in the 1930s until the late 1960s.
Hunt's specialty was evening and cocktail dresses, very much in the tradition of Hollywood glamour. Her dresses were very popular with actresses like Lucille Ball and Anne Miller.
