1940s – 50s navy fit and flare by the Ben Reig design company of New York City. It opened in 1929 and its most notable designers were Omar Kiam and Eva Rosencrans. The designs from Ben Reig were known for their elegance.
This fit and flare dress is made from a heavy cotton sateen, I believe, it has a good shine to the fabric. 3/4 length sleeves with a cuff and rhinestone button that matches the buttons on the bodice. The bodice has a pan collar with three rhinestone buttons a beautiful accent around the bust-line to accent the bust and the waist, creating a figure that was popular at the time.
Circle skirt with faux pocket flaps and side metal zipper.
