A stunning 1940's navy wool jacket by Sally Milgrim.
It has a shirt collar, princess seaming, Raglan sleeves and shoulder pads. The front closes with covered buttons. The top left shoulder and right hip are adorned with a beaded embellishment of grapes and the leaves are corded navy appliqués. Gorgeous quintessential 40s blazer that would have been paired with a skirt for a day suit. Through research, it was typical for blazers similar to this to be wore as a wedding attire.
It is lined in navy satin with underarm guards to protect the blazer from perspiration.
