1960s pink & green silk gown by Bob Bugnand for Sam Friedlander is the picture of a springtime garden.
Bob Bugnand was an American designer who worked for many years in Paris with Jacques Heim, Robert Piguet and under his own label. Many of his beautiful designs were worn by the most stylish women of the day including Jackie Kennedy.
This lovely dress and wrap is made with a pretty pink and light green dupioni silk offset by a sage green bow belt.
The strapless empire waist bodice is constructed with boning and given volume with ruched pleats. The dress zips and hooks at the back with lining in the bodice and backing in the skirt.
The coordinating pink wrap has loops on the side seams so that it can be tied into place either at the front or back of the dress with one of the two satin ribbon which accompanies the ensemble.
